Unite Dickinson and Skip the Recall

Fight to Unite our City and Stop the Harassment.

Dickinson is rich in history and offers an atmosphere of small town life in a greater metropolitan area. People still gather for Friday night lights, holiday parades, youth sports, and many civic group events. We also enjoy and appreciate our scenic Bayou. Dickinson is a place we are all proud to call home.

Our leaders are family, friends, and neighbors that value our city but understand we must address challenges in order to make Dickinson even better. Some of these challenges are raw and life threatening, such as our need to address flooding risk in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Others require us to work to adapt to changes in our region and to meet the economic challenges of the 21st century. I have been proud to work to face Dickinson’s challenges as your mayor since 2021. I was honored to be re-elected as your mayor in 2023.

Today, Dickinson faces a new challenge. It isn’t a challenge from outside, but from within. A group of citizens has been working hard to disrupt Dickinson’s progress and divide our community. Our city’s government has been subjected to division in the form of smear, misinformation, and threats of political violence. Now this group of people want to take away your vote by forcing an unjustifiable recall election less than a year after the last election.

We need to unite as a community, stand up and fight for our city, and send a message that there is no place for tactics that block progress and divides our town.

Please look at the information on this page, learn the truth about the recall effort, and learn about how our community is moving forward.
